This report summarises findings from a community-based research project conducted into the impact of FGM/C on diverse inner Melbourne communities conducted in a partnership of the University of Melbourne, the Royal Women’s Hospital, and North Yarra Community Health (now known as cohealth). The project involved members of the Eritrean, Hararian, Oromo, Somali and Sudanese communities of Carlton, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Flemington, North Melbourne and beyond.
